Follow these steps to begin transferring email and contacts from your old provider to your new Comcast account:
STEP 1. Navigate to the migration start page. Type the email address and password from your old provider into the fields provided. (If the email and password fields don't appear at all or seem to be displayed incorrectly, try a different browser.)
The EasyChange tool is set up to automatically detect if your old provider is supported. A list of supported providers is listed above the text fields, and if a non-supported provider is entered, then a red error message will appear.
STEP 2. Enter your Comcast username (do not include "@comcast.net") and password for the account where you would like us to send your email and contacts.
STEP 3. Select the services you would like to transfer. Make sure to click both the Email and Contacts buttons if you want all of that information transferred. The check marks will appear green when they are selected correctly. (Don’t see an option for Contacts?)
We can also notify all contacts in your old account's address book about your email address change. The box beside that option must be checked in order for the notification to be sent. You can also customize the message that your contacts will receive by typing in the provided field.
Email forwarding from select providers is also provided. If selected, the forwarding will continue for up to 30 days, or until your old account is closed, whichever happens first.
STEP 4. Click the Start Transfer Now button to begin your transfer. Once your transfer has begun, you will receive a confirmation email in your Comcast account with your migration ID. You will also receive confirmation once your transfer is complete.
